5. Where information is stored and how long we keep it

6. Security

Passwords are stored as hashes. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to data is limited by role: a teacher sees only their own institute's data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us at once if you suspect misuse.

7. Your choices and rights

These rights follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 as they apply in India.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. We also use your browser's local storage on your device to remember in-progress work, for example the state of an evaluation. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you press play on the tutorial video, YouTube may store its own cookies or similar data on your device under its own policy.

9. Android app

The Android app opens GradeSaathi inside Chrome. It does not collect extra information of its own. Permissions such as camera or file access are requested by your browser only when you choose to upload an answer sheet. You can revoke them in your phone settings.

10. Children

GradeSaathi accounts are for teachers and institute staff aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.

11. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by SMS or email.
